Consultations for clinicians are by telephone consultation initially, for on the day appointments. To make your appointment, please telephone 731331 Monday to Friday.
Please note as a training practice you may have a Medical Student sitting in on your consultation or you may be seen by a Medical Student. You will be informed of this before hand and will have the option of declining this.
Each clinician has a ratio of their appointments as pre-bookable telephone slots and face to face consultations for up to seven days in advance. Please phone 731331 to enquire if the clinician has availability to book a pre-bookable slot.
If you feel that you require an urgent telephone appointment, please make this clear to the receptionist. Every effort will be made to give you a telephone appointment as soon as possible, this will be with the duty doctor.
Whilst we have on the day availability as well as pre-bookable, Every Monday and days after a public holiday are allocated as all on the day slots and no pre-bookable slots will be available on these days.
The receptionists are your first point of contact with the practice and they are there to help you and will endeavour to deal with your enquiries as efficiently as possible.
To enable your ailment to be triaged (reviewed by a clinician) please provide as much medical information as possible about your ailment. All the information received is treated in the strictest confidence. All members of the team are bound by the same confidentiality regulations. Please be patient with our staff who are often working under considerable pressure.
Should we reach capacity for appointments on a given day you will be notified of this and will be directed to access e-consult, be offered a pre-bookable slot or to call back the next day or if urgent be directed to other services. e.g 111 etc.
Extended Hours
We off extended hours telephone consultations. These take place on an alternate These take place throughout the week. They are provided for those who might not be able to make an appointment at routine times (8am to 6pm). The consultations (initially by telephone) will take place either 7.30am to 8am or 6pm to 6.30pm. Please ask at reception for availability.
