Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions should ONLY be ordered through this site or by using the tear-off slip attached to your prescription.
Your tear off slip can be posted in to the surgery and, if a stamped addressed envelope is enclosed, we will post it back to you. Alternatively, requests for repeat medication can be put in the letterbox at the practice.
Due to the volume of requests we receive for repeat prescriptions and for patient safety, we do not deal with repeat prescription requests over the telephone.
Prescriptions can take a minimum of two working days to process and therefore your completed prescription will be ready for collection at your chosen pharmacy after 2pm, three working days after the request has been made, unless you have had to order medication that is not on your repeat slip, then this may take longer. This allows time for the chosen pharmacy to collect the prescription and process the dispensing of the medications.

Please note that any prescriptions requested via the website, will only be actioned on the next available working day i.e. requests send in at weekend will not be processed until the following Monday or Tuesday.

From 1st April 2019 there been changes to the Pharmacy Collection Service at the surgery.  If you wish the pharmacy to collect your prescriptions, then you need to approach the pharmacy of your choice and ask for a mandate form and the pharmacy will sent this to the surgery once completed by yourself.  This allows the pharmacy to collect on your behalf (if you are already using a pharmacy collection, then this will not apply to you, unless you choose to change your pharmacy in the future)

Whilst we complete prescription requests in two working days, due to the collection times by your chosen pharmacy, it is recommended you allow a minimum of 3 working days if requesting your prescription to be collected on your behalf to allow the pharmacy sufficient time to process the prescription.

From time to time, you may be invited to attend the surgery for a review of your repeat medication. You will be informed about this when you pick up your repeat prescription.
