Changes to Access as a result of COVID-19.
This GP Practice is currently restricting access for the safety of all patients and staff.
The practice remains open for all essential primary care problems but on the advice of Health Protection Scotland we have put in place a process whereby everyone is screened by telephone prior to gaining access to the building. All requests for an appointment will be via a telephone consultation in the first instance. if you need to consult with a GP please telephone the practice in the early morning. The receptionist will take your details, contact telephone number and a brief description of what you wish to discuss with the GP.

All patients will still have access to the care they require. We hope you understanding of this.

The doctors and staff at Broughty Ferry Health Centre in Dundee are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

Further information is available on the NHS Inform Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) website including an interactive tool and a free phone number for asymptomatic individuals with general enquiries.
NO NEED FOR AN INSURANCE LINE FOR COVID SYMPTOMS - you can print a isolation certificate here - your employer does not required a fit note from the GP if you are absent due to covid or isolating due to a family member with covid : https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note . This will cover your first 14 days of absence, if you required further time off, a self certificate should be use to cover the period of day 15 to 21 and only then should you contact the GP to request an insurance line (fit note).

If you have a dental emergency, you should phone your usual dentist in the first instance, or call 01382 425791 in hours or NHS 24 on 111 in the evenings and at weekends.
All patients are assessed by phone and offered an appointment at the appropriate centre. There is no drop-in facility and patients are seen by appointment only.
Please do not attend any of these centres unless you have an appointment.

APPOINTMENT TEXT REMINDER SERVICE
In early 2020 the practice is commencing text reminder service for all patients with appointments with the GP or Practice Nurse team
Any patient wishing to receive a text reminder must ensure their mobile number is up to date with the practice and give consent to receive text messages.
Please complete one of these forms and hand in to reception for your records to be updated.
